Aluminum Melt Treatment - Fluxes

(Fluxes, Degasser, Grain Refiner)

COVER FLUX - GRANULAR

It is applied on the surface of molten aluminum where it melts forming a continuous layer protecting the liquid metal from oxidation and absorption of atmospheric hydrogen.

DROSSING FLUX

It removes oxides and other nonmetallic inclusions from aluminum melt. Crossing fluxes promote separation of molten aluminum entrapped in the dross.

MELTING FLUX

It protects the aluminum melt against oxidation and hydrogen pick up and improve melting capacity.

MODIFYING FLUX

It results in improvement in hot tear resistance and feeding and reduction in shrinkage porosity.

CLEANING FLUX

It removes the oxides content built up on the furnace wall

ANTI PIPING COMPOUND

It is Hot topping compound for sleeves in sand casting .

DEGASSER

it releases the hydrogen trapped in liquid aluminum melt. A low hydrogen content in the melt reduces gas porosity in the casting

REFINER

It induces formation of TiB2 in the melt and improves mechanical properties of the casting such as elongation & others. Fine grain structure reduces shrinkage porosity and improves the solidified structure.
